A Decade In Technology

A decade in technology has taught me:

  1. It pays to listen.
  2. It pays to speak up.
  3. Sometimes the best thing is to start.
  4. Sometimes the best thing is to stop.
  5. You will rarely end where you think.
  6. You will always end where you need to be.
  7. At the end of the day you will never regret helping.

From the game industry to quality assurance to marketing to web development to teaching it’s been an interesting decade making my way through the outcome of the 2008 financial crisis. Luckily I was able to grind it out to get free of my student loans and put myself in a great position for the future.

The first decade of my career was focused on me. I think the second decade will be focused on you.
